Offerings from the Garden

The Mother of My Garden

The moon has come to sit in my garden

for the time of a wane and wax

Where many beings have come and passed

Still there, the moon looms, a sacred star in my garden

The shoots of spring bring tidal waves of green

Upon the Earth we appear so young

Beyond the mist, the cosmic hum

twinkles across my garden

Petals burst as life gives forth

My lunar guest arrives at noon

The world unfolds above the blooms

and rains down on my garden

Fire falls from a burning sky

The giant’s leaves the earth soon eats

Harvest reaped and then to sleep

The moon sings in my garden

Silence marks the darkened days

The bony winter howls and none call back

Blue moonlight dances in the black

Upon the head of my beloved garden

The moon has come to sit in my garden

Light of devotion and boundless grace

She is the mask upon each face

The mother of my garden
